This delicious Middle Eastern dip goes well with veggies and especially pita bread.

  1. Make chaimen spice mix ahead of time and store in a sealed container in your spice cupboard.
  2. Put all ingredients into a food processor and pulse the mixture until everything is well mixed but not pureed. You want the mixture to have a course texture.
  3. Spread into a shallow dish and sprinkle lightly with olive oil and garnish with fresh parsely or pine nutes if desired.
  4. Let sit, chilled for about 1 hour to allow for flavour to mature.
  5. Serve with pita triangles and slices of cucumber.
