This is a classic recipe that my mom uses and my mom’s mom used. 😉 Simple and always fantastic!
Using high quality organic cocoa makes these irresistible.
This recipe doubles easily and can then be baked in a 9″x13″ pan. But, it does not triple well…
I use “normal” icing on top but you don’t really need to ice them.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325F.
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add beaten eggs, chocolate, flour, nuts, salt and vanilla. Beat until well mixed.
- Bake in a well greased 8"x8" square pan.
- Bake for 25 minutes. To get chewy brownies, do not bake completely as you would a cake.
