This is a classic recipe that my mom uses and my mom’s mom used. 😉 Simple and always fantastic!

Using high quality organic cocoa makes these irresistible.

This recipe doubles easily and can then be baked in a 9″x13″ pan. But, it does not triple well…

I use “normal” icing on top but you don’t really need to ice them.

  1. Preheat oven to 325F.
  2. Cream butter and sugar.
  3. Add beaten eggs, chocolate, flour, nuts, salt and vanilla. Beat until well mixed.
  4. Bake in a well greased 8"x8" square pan.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes. To get chewy brownies, do not bake completely as you would a cake.
